Through the unremitting efforts of all SHOWVENers, we finally obtained two certificates of EMS and RH&S just this week. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (EMS) CERTIFICATION and OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (OH&S) CERTIFICATION.
EMS is “a system which integrates policy, procedures and processes for training of personnel, monitoring, summarizing, and reporting of specialized environmental performance information to internal and external stakeholders of a firm”. – From Wikipedia
OH&S provides a framework for improving workplace safety and reducing injury and ill-health, by helping organizations better manage their OH&S risks and improve their overall OH&S performance.
